In order to understand all the facets of creation of this extraordinary artist, a special space was needed, outside of a concert or educational approach. The exhibition ‘Pierre Boulez’ seeks to give an account of the blend of currents and artistic practices that Boulez himself inspired or aspired to: he was interested in painting or literature from an early age and constantly evoked or drew upon these art forms in his work.

Using the composer's flagship works in relation to their artistic and cultural context, this exhibition aims to show the complexity and coherence of an artistic life, while seeking to thwart some of the clichés about the man, whose attitude and personality have been caricatured so many times.
