Participation to the exhibition « Là où est la mer… »
In the context of the Africa2020 season at the Institut français, which invited to look at and understand the world from an African point of view, the exhibition « Là où est la mer… » was supported by the Fondation Gandur pour l’Art.
It brought together fourteen artists from African coastal countries highlighting the relationship between the human and the ocean. While some of the artists addressed ecological issues (ocean pollution, plastic waste management, threatened biodiversity), others tackled the issue of immigration, the difficult living conditions on the African continent or the necessity for perilous crossings on dangerous boats for individuals looking to leave their country.
