Support for the publication of the book "Une vie en images" by artist Ivan Messac
Ivan Messac's autobiographical image album, Une vie en images, was published by Éditions In Fine, with support of Fondation Gandur pour l’art, Geneva.
Artist Ivan Messac's career started in 1968 when his early drawings were exhibited at the Salon de Nanterre. He then turned to painting, moving from psychedelic compositions to pop ones, before making a detour through abstraction at the beginning of the 1980s and working with cardboard and marble. Close to the movement of Figuration Narrative, he returned to painting in the early 2000s.
To attest of the diversity of his techniques and concerns, Ivan Messac produced an autobiographical image album, where images take precedence over writing.
