An exhibition with a new regard on the historical and cultural links between the countries of Europe
Curators : Peter Weibel and Eckhart Gillen
Through a historical retrospective dating from 1945 to 1968, this exhibition reveals new perspectives for the future of Europe and shows what strong, positive effects art and culture can have, and how these can enable Europe to emerge from its current economic crisis.
A joint effort of three world-renowned museums, Kunst in Europa 1945-1968 features approximately 500 loans of over 200 artists, and provides a historical overview of the development of European art on either side of the Iron Curtain.
