Support for the restoration of two medieval statues in Laives, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
The Fondation Gandur pour l’Art supported the restoration of two statues in Laives, one representing a monk, the other Mary Magdalene. After having been vandalized and buried during the revolutionary period, both were found in 2014. Representatives of the Burgundian statuary of the 15th century, the objective is to bring back to life their original polychromy and to reattach their pieces together.
