The Fondation Gandur pour l’Art has contributed to the publication of the book Le Pop Art en Europe. From Valério Adami to Christian Zeimert, conceived by the art historian Renaud Faroux and the photographer Michel Lunardelli.
If, for the general public, Pop Art represents a North American phenomenon embodied by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, this work puts this postulate into question. It also underlines the extraordinary twinship of the creation which was developed in Europe and across the Atlantic. This book takes us across Europe from Paris to Milan, from London to Madrid, in the footsteps of the last great Pop artists of the 1960s.
